On the West side of Toronto, a suburban backyard is transformed into a warm outdoor living and entertaining space.
A walk-out hard-scaped patio features the main cooking and dining area with a generous outdoor kitchen, prep area, and seating for ten. The space is divided from the lawn and garden by a row of corten steel planters filled with ornamental grasses – the plumed foliage mimicking the flames of the adjacent Komodo Corten fire pit. The lower level reveals a cosy, covered lounge area with retractable sun shade and an in the opposite corner, a peaceful reading nook.
All areas of the backyard benefit from the central fire: the Komodo 84, with six feet of flame, provides warmth and ambience.
The landscape design was done by the Toronto firm Landscapes by Lucin.
