Feature Project – Woodland House, Wisconsin

After 15 years of urban living David and Jamie Van Dixhorn returned to Wisconsin to raise their three children and build their dream house. The Woodland House is the product of their efforts.

In their words:

With floor-to-ceiling windows allowing for an abundance of natural light, indoor-outdoor living spaces, environmentally responsible materials and top-of-the-line finishes, the Woodland House will blur the lines between the natural beauty of the outdoors with the comforts of modern living.

The expansive courtyard, embraced by the wings of the house, features a multi-level deck, plantings and a central Fold 48 Fire Pit in corten steel.  The covered outdoor room allows for four-season outdoor lounging, and features a cooking area and retractable insect screens.
