A 1929 home in Pacific Heights, San Francisco, was transformed into a modern townhouse by a design team led by Jeff King & Company, Jessica Nakamoto, and Keith Anding.
While the entire property was reimagined, the rooftop saw the most significant transformation, turning it into a fully realized outdoor retreat. The space now includes a kitchen, bar, and two seating areas, creating the perfect setting for relaxation and entertainment.
At the center of the lounge area is Paloform’s Bento concrete fire pit, framed by a panoramic view of the Golden Gate Bridge and Bay Area. The clean, angular lines of the fire pit complement the surrounding architecture, while the fire spheres provide a softer contrast, balancing the overall look.
With its minimalist style and substantial feel, Bento combines contemporary design with practical functionality. It is available in both concrete and Corten weathering steel, which develops a rich patina over time, adding warmth and texture to outdoor spaces.
