General Cautions

TOPPINGS :

The most common installation error we encounter with our fire pits is with the topping placement. We see this often enough to warrant its mention here. Please check that the toppings are installed correctly as described in your manual and here.

CAUTION :

New lava rock may pop when heated for the first time. This will subside after 30 minutes to an hour of operation. Please keep a safe distance and use caution during this time.

COVER :

Paloform fire pits are designed to be able to withstand rain and the elements under normal weather conditions.

• You do not need to use the cover on a day-to-day basis during “use” season.
• Do not cover the fire pit if it is wet. Allow it to dry before using this cover.
• The all-weather cover is recommended for winterization; seasonally, when the fire pit is not in use for extended periods; and during periods of extreme weather conditions.
